Prince of Peace
This elegant piece is inspired by Isaiah 9:6 and the much loved Handel’s Messiah, For Unto Us a Child is Born.
Pretty gold motifs accent the text of the verse, and additional motifs are stitched in the background providing subtle and tonal detail there. My model is stitched on silk gauze, but you should select your favorite fabric – any pretty cream neutral should do nicely.
There are also three additional charts (shown stitched on linen) which make pretty smalls and/or ornaments.
Cover model on 40ct silk gauze (not included):
Stitch count is 116 x 113
Weeks Dye Works: Beige, Whiskey, Mulberry
DMC: 746 for the background if stitching on silk gauze.
If stitching on linen, select a shade which provides subtle contrast with the Beige floss.
