Ordering, Shipping & Payment Information (and other important info!)

Materials List - If you would like a materials list for any chart listed on the site, please email and we will send it as soon as possible.  We will be happy to kit up any design, just ask!

IMPORTANT Sale Order Info

 Orders placed during a sale MUST be placed via the shopping cart system to qualify for any discounts.

Sale prices WILL NOT show in the cart or in the copy of the order you get in email when you place your order.

Sale prices WILL NOT be emailed to you.  They will be on the invoice you receive with your order.

Orders are invoiced one at a time in the order they are received and discounts will be applied at that time.

If orders are not paid for within 3 days of receiving invoice, sale prices are void!

We will fill orders as quickly as possible, so please allow for a few extra days processing time during a sale.

"In-stock items only" means the items we have on hand when your order is processed.  If we are out of any items, you will be notified via email.   Most items can be ordered if you want them, but if they are not in-stock during the sale, they will be special ordered for you at regular price.  We will NOT send any items from your sale order at regular price without your special request to do so.

Special Orders - If there is anything you are looking for that is not listed on the site, please email us at dsl@downsunshinelane.com  and we will be glad to order it for you.  We can order anything you want from Hoffman Distributing, Norden Crafts, Yarn Tree, Kreinik Manufacturing, Wichelt Imports and from almost any designer.  If what you want isn't listed on any of these sites, email us and we will do our best to find it for you.

Gifts/Gift Certificates - If you would like to send a gift or gift certificate to someone, we can send an e-mail gift certificate or we can send it snail mail.  Also, if you would like to place an order and have it sent as a gift, we can include a card with your name in the package.  To order a gift certificate and use your credit card with the shopping cart, click the    button and in the comments section, add the amount you want the gift certificate to be and the name & email or the person you want it sent to.  Please email with any questions you may have.

Birthday Fun! ~ Hey, it's your BIRTHDAY!!  The perfect time to order stash for yourself, right?  And it's even better when you get a discount!  If you sign up for the DSL Birthday Party, you will receive a 20% discount on one order placed during the month of your birthday!    You must sign up at least 30 days before your birthday to qualify for the discount.  Just make a note in the shopping cart (in the comments field) or email that you would like your birthday discount applied to the order.  This discount is for in-stock items only and excludes any other sale or special priced items and items marked that they cannot be discounted.  Discounts do not apply to shipping costs.  Sign up below!

Shipping - All orders will be shipped within 24 to 48 hours if all items are in-stock. After you place your order, we will email and tell you when your items will ship.  If something is out of stock, you will have the choice to wait for the item(s) to come in, or to have the in-stock items of your order shipped right away.  We will do our very best to keep all items shown on our site in-stock so your order will be shipped promptly.

**Due to USPS postage increase on April 17, 2011, our shipping rates have increased slightly:

Shipping Rates for USA:

Orders up to $10.00 - $3.00 - 3.50 (based on weight)

$10.01 - $25.00 - $4.00 - $4.50  (based on weight)

$25.01- $50.00 - $4.50 (FIRST CLASS- shipping method will be based on weight/packaging!)

$25.01- $50.00 - $6.25*** (PRIORITY - shipping method will be based on weight/packaging!)

 $50.01 - $75.00 - $6.75 (PRIORITY - shipping method will be based on weight/packaging!)

$75.01 - $100.00 - $7.75 (PRIORITY - shipping method will be based on weight/packaging!)

over $100 - shipping cost based on order total & weight

ALL orders that are mailed via priority mail will start at $6.25*** for up to 1 lb and for all weights above 1 lb, the price will vary depending on location.  We will process your order and apply the appropriate postage cost on large orders.  Insurance may also be added with the cost depending on the total of your order. Please email with any questions.

You may also request USPS Priority shipping on any order, starting at $6.25.  We will be happy to ship to any country, just email for shipping costs.  Also, if items have **Priority Mail Required by the item, the shipping will be at least $36.25, based on the weight of the package.

Shipping costs during sales will be based on the orignial order total before discounts.  The package will weigh the same, so we are not able to discount shipping costs.

Shipping costs for all other countries do vary.  Keep in mind the shipping costs shown in the cart are for the USA only.  We will be happy to quote a shipping price for you if you request it.  The total is based on the weight of your order and the cart cannot calculate that for all the different countries we ship too.

Returns/Refunds - There will be no returns or refunds on charts, kits, magazines, fabrics or special ordered items.   Shipping cannot be refunded on any returns and you must pay return postage. There is also a $2 restocking fee. If an order has been processed on the day you order but not yet shipped, and you decide to cancel the order, there will be a $2 cancellation fee.  These rules are firm.  Please be careful when you place your order and ask questions if you'd like.  Please do not email us and ask to return an item, because we have a STRICT NO RETURN POLICY on the items listed above - period!  Thank you!

Payment Methods - We accept (and prefer) Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express.  Please make sure to include your billing address with payment or we cannot process your order.  We can also take payment via PayPal, http://www.paypal.com.  The address to use to send payment to is dsl@downsunshinelane.com.   We will also accept checks and money orders.    You can mail a check or money order to Down Sushine Lane, just ask for the mailing address. Items paid by check or money order will ship as soon as payment arrives.  There will be a $25 service charge on all returned checks.  Please be careful when entering your Card #'s in the shopping cart.  There will be a .50 fee added to your total when you enter the wrong numbers in the cart because of fees we must pay.

We cannot charge a card or take PayPal payment for orders under $5.00.

Sale Orders/Sale Pricing  Info - Our shopping cart does not calculate discounts during sales.  It's done at the time your order is invoiced.  The auto response statement you get when you place your order will show the regular prices.  Please rest assured that the sale prices will be applied before your order is processed.  Shipping costs during sales will be based on the orignial order total before discounts.  The package will weigh the same, so we are not able to discount shipping costs.

Ordering During Sales - The orders must be placed via the shopping cart during any sales we have so they will be time/date stamped. Sale orders are filled in the order they are received since they are for in-stock only items.  Thanks for your understanding!
